Job Description:
We are representing a prestigious law firm seeking a mid-to-senior level Private Equity Attorney to join its Columbus office. In this role, you will work with middle-market private equity funds, independent sponsors, family offices, and family-owned businesses in leveraged buyouts and sell-side M&A transactions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain significant hands-on experience while working in a collaborative and dynamic environment, with the resources of an Am Law 200 firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the responsible attorney on M&A transactions, particularly in private equity deals.
  • Gain opportunities for advancement while working in a small office environment with the resources of a larger firm.
  • Receive training and take on increasing levels of responsibility as you progress.
  • Participate in business development activities and collaborate across practice groups and offices.
  • Work closely with clients and manage relationships, offering tailored legal solutions in private equity transactions.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience working with private equity transactions, preferably in leveraged buyouts and M&A.
  • Licensed to practice law in the U.S. since 2021 or earlier.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent law school and undergraduate credentials, along with strong references.
  • A team-oriented mentality and a keen interest in working in a collaborative environment.
  • Business acumen and a strong interest in developing relationship-building skills both internally and externally.
  • A motivated self-starter with the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
