Labor & Employment Counsel
The People Of Professional Services is very excited to be representing a Top 10 AM Law Firm in Palo Alto, California. Our client is seeking outstanding lateral candidates with expertise in labor and employment law. We are looking for candidates from the classes of 2016 and above for Counsel roles and from 2014-2019 for Senior Associate positions. Candidates considering relocation are encouraged to apply.
The starting base salary for this position is expected to range from $420,000 to $465,000 annually, with actual salary determined based on skills, experience, and other job-related factors in accordance with applicable law.
The Labor team advises clients on a wide array of matters, including:
- All types of U.S. and international transactions
- Hiring and terminating individual executive and management-level employees
- Broad-based reductions in force
- Drafting offer letters, wage theft notices, background checks, and employment, separation, and transition agreements
- Noncompetition and other restrictive covenants
- Responding to employment-related demand letters and negotiating employment-related settlement agreements
- Conducting internal investigations for sensitive matters (e.g., harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, and employee misconduct)
- Developing employee handbooks and employment-related policies and procedures
- Navigating labor unions and collective bargaining agreements
