Job Description:
We are representing a leading global law firm seeking a Corporate/M&A Associate to join its prestigious Corporate practice in Denver.  With over US$50 billion in transactions closed in 2021 alone, this team emphasizes a collaborative, team-based approach while offering significant opportunities for professional growth through mentorship and intensive training.

In this role, the incoming associate will primarily support clients and transactions in the Denver office. Candidates will have significant exposure to clients, allowing them to engage directly in complex M&A deals, both on the buy-side and sell-side, for strategic clients and financial sponsors.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-volume M&A transactions, strong academic credentials, and substantial drafting and communication skills. The firm values strong leadership, and candidates should also have experience mentoring junior associates. Experience in joint venture transactions, venture capital financings, and minority investment transactions is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support M&A transactions, including buy-side and sell-side deals, for both strategic clients and financial sponsors.
  • Draft and negotiate transaction documents, ensuring alignment with client objectives and market standards.
  • Supervise junior associates and collaborate with subject matter specialists to deliver high-quality work.
  • Build strong client relationships and provide strategic advice on M&A and corporate governance matters.
  • Participate in business development efforts and contribute to the firm’s growth.

Qualifications:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school with top academic credentials.
  • 4-8 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on M&A transactions.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and mentor junior associates.
  • Bar membership in the jurisdiction where the candidate is applying.
  • Experience in joint ventures, venture capital, and minority investments is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $310,000 to $435,000 per year, depending on experience.
