Associate - SALT

A rare opportunity has arisen for Tax Attorneys in the Irvine area to join a leading law firm consistently ranked among the top firms on the Am Law Global 100.

My client is actively seeking a 2nd to 6th Year Associate to join their esteemed State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. This role offers the chance to work with clients, both large and small, from various industries across the country.

The practice provides a comprehensive range of services, including counselling and controversy resolution. They advise clients on transactional planning, tax-advantaged business restructuring, audit defense, representation in state and local administrative proceedings, appeals up to the U.S. Supreme Court, and large-scale multi-jurisdictional litigation.

Candidates must possess solid academic credentials from a top law school, strong writing and advocacy skills, and admission to the California bar. Interest in property tax is essential.

Prior government experience, whether from a state or federal agency or court and an LLM in Taxation from a top law school is desirable but not mandatory. Candidates with experience in property tax from Big 4/public accounting firms will also be considered.

Admission to the CA Bar is required.

Salary – $225,000 – $350,000
