Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Associate

Position Overview:

As an associate, you will advise corporate clients and private equity funds on acquisitions, dispositions, minority investments, other similar transactions, and general corporate matters. This role demands significant experience in managing M&A transactions, a solid grasp of corporate law and market terms, and proficiency in drafting transaction documents and effective deal management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and represent corporate clients and private equity funds in M&A transactions and other corporate matters.
  • Draft and negotiate transaction documents with precision and efficiency.
  • Manage and oversee deals from inception to closing with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, leveraging a business development-oriented mindset.
  • Provide high-level strategic guidance and support to clients, ensuring their business goals are met with innovative legal solutions.

Qualifications:

  • JD from a top-tier law school, admitted to practice in New York.
  • 4 to 7 years of significant experience in handling M&A transactions.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law and market terms.
  • Exceptional drafting and deal management skills.
  • Proven ability to take on high levels of responsibility and work independently.
  • Driven personality with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and business development acumen.
